Each article should make clear whether a statement is a confirmed record, a widely circulated claim, a later interpretation, or an unresolved question.

Source hierarchy

1. Primary records, official reports, archive scans, court documents, direct transcripts, or contemporaneous publications.
2. Reliable secondary sources that cite records and identify uncertainty.
3. Folklore, internet fiction, and popular retellings, clearly labeled as such.

Use of AI Tools

The Midnight Archives may use AI-assisted tools for drafting, structure, image concepting, and editorial checks. Final topic selection, factual framing, source review, corrections, and publication decisions are reviewed by a human editor. AI output is not treated as a source of fact.

Publishing rules

• Pattern IDs are internal only and should not appear as public title formulas.
• Images must not include text, logos, or false documentary labels.
• Crime, death, disappearance, and living-person claims require cautious language.
