Corrections

Corrections are part of the archive record. If an article contains an error, missing context, broken source, or outdated statement, send the post URL and the specific passage that needs review.

How corrections are handled

  • Minor typos may be corrected silently.
  • Material factual changes should be reflected in the article or update note.
  • Disputed claims may be reframed as claims rather than facts.
  • When a correction affects a real person, victim, family, or ongoing case, caution takes priority over speed.

The Midnight Archives separates confirmed records, circulated claims, later interpretations, and unresolved questions. Last updated: May 26, 2026.
